City of Sand
City of Sand was a very short independent writing project to see how much of a world I could flesh out in under ten pages of writing. In addition to this challenge, I wanted to see if I could tell a compelling narrative of a character's struggle for survival. This project largely existed as a snippet of a larger story that I have no intention of expanding on, I hoped it would serve as a glimpse into a futuristic sci-fi mecha narrative that looks at the struggles of humans in a world that does everything it can to make their lives difficult.

Clanker Cleanup
My Writing for Killing Clankers largely pertained to back-end work, such as creating the overall feel of the world, but also included creating the characters and dialogue that would be put into the game. I hoped to be able to tell a compelling narrative alongside our game that would show the struggles of the world in which we live.
Beowulf: Choose Your Own Adventure
Beowulf Choose Your Own Adventure was a project made for a class I took in College, the goal being to create a gamebook featuring a mechanic that built off of some existing work. I chose to do Beowulf, because I thought it would be interesting to adapt as well as had more to discuss in terms of topic. This project features some of my first experience in learning to adapt story to player choice, as well as integrate story and mechanics in a way that feels compelling to engage with. This project also taught me how to scope down as a result of the limited time in a semester.
The Death of the Artist
The Death of the Artist was a game project I undertook with five other people. The goal of this project was to tell a compelling narrative that allowed the player to experience the feeling of being forced to choose between what you are passionate for and your livelihood. The idea of the game was that you could sell paintings to people, and depending on whether or not you liked them, you could sell to them, meaning this game was heavily focused on dialogue and narrative.
The Coiled Sword / A Blade Sewn of Cinder
A Blade of Sewn Cinder is a largescale worldbuilding project I've been working on for years little bits at a time. The goal of this project is to create a piece that represents the style of writing I have spent the better part of my life in love with, Fantasy-Adventure novels.
